Assignment 25 - What's next?

Existing market

1) I think what's next for my business regarding products and services might be new meals, desserts, and appetizers on the menu (e.g., vegan apple pie).
2) In my interviews, the three customers told me that they would prefer having a fixed menu and certain dishes that change from day to day. Furthermore, they recommended me to introduce a lunch special, so that more students and UF employees would come to my food truck for lunchtime. Additionally, the interviewees want me to introduce ice cream and milkshakes to my menu. When I told them about my idea of adding more desserts and appetizers to the menu, they liked it and encouraged me to pursue this idea.
3) I think for my business it is most valuable to have a variety of meals that appeal to the broad mass. Therefore, introducing a fixed menu and a daily menu with changing dishes might be a good idea.

New market

1) A different market where I could expand into would be the ordinary restaurant business. Establishing a restaurant in a proper location, e.g., in Gainesville downtown, would be radically different to my relatively mobile food-truck approach.
2) I think opening a decent restaurant would create value for the part of my target market which prefers to sit down and be served. A food-truck is more for people who want to eat fast-food. The restaurant instead could serve vegetarian meals in a decent atmosphere.
3) I interviewed two mothers about my idea. They were thrilled when they heard that I think about opening up a vegetarian restaurant. They would love to come to my fast-food truck too, but it's tough and uncomfortable for them to go to a fast-food truck with their kids. Thus, they would prefer to sit down somewhere and eat healthy, vegetarian meals. My interviewees advised me to introduce ice cream to my menu because they say that kids love to have ice cream as dessert.
4) I learned that there is a market I could expand to. Many families would enjoy having a healthy dinner at a decent restaurant.  Thus, I could definitely create more value by going into this market although it might not be as valuable as my existing market.

    Hello,

    I can agree with having your best selling dishes as always being available and switching up some of your other dishes. I know when I go to restaurants that are a little way from where I live because I love the food, I get a little upset that their best dish is not available. I can agree with the other moms and trying to go to a food truck with kids and needing to sit down.

Assignment 18 – Create a Customer Avatar

The customer segment I chose two assignments ago is characterized by 18 to 25 years old students who pursue a sporty lifestyle and care a lot about their nutrition. In this assignment, I would like to go a bit further and describe a very specific type of customer, i.e. to create a customer avatar. Below you can find my second elevator pitch. Reflection on the feedback from my first elevator pitch The recommendation of including some numbers or facts in my elevator pitch was very helpful. I think that it will help the audience to understand how big the problem really is. Additionally, the listeners might take my elevator pitch more seriously because they might that I am really deep in the subject. One classmate told me that he liked the beginning of my elevator pitch a lot. He thinks that I was really good at putting the listener into the shoes of my customer. What I changed Based on the feedback, I included a statistic saying that 12% of all people between 18 and 29y identify themselves as vegetarians. Furthermore, I kept the beginning of my second elevator pitch very similar to the first one. The only thing I changed at the beginning is to address my main target group, students, directly.
